Amprodana 25% is the trade name of solution ready to use, it contains Amprolium Hcl as an active ingredient for prevention and treatment of coccidiosis that are caused by Eimeria
Indications
– Amprodana 25% is indicated for the treatment of Gastrointestinal protozoa that are sensitive to Amprolium as Eimeria (coccedia) especially in poultry (E.tenella, E.necatrix, E.brunetti, E.acervulina), immature cattle (E.zuernii, E.bovis, E.auburnensis) and immature ruminant (E.crandallis, E.ovinoidalis,E.arloingi, E.christenseni)
– It is the drug of choice in case of coccidiosis in laying hens because it will not decrease production of eggs
Dosage
– Calves,kids,lambs: 1ml\25 kg b.w in drinking water for 5 days
– Poultry: 1ml\1 liter of drinking water for 5-7 days
Contraindications
– Not to be used in cases of hypersensitivity to Amprolium Hcl
– Not to be used for mature ruminant
– Not give that drug for prolonged high doses because that may lead to Vit B1 (Thiamin) deficiency
