Compositions
Each 100ml Coccicol contains:
– Sulfaquinoxaline sodium 7.5g
– Trimethorim B.P 2.35g
Product description
Coccicol is the trade name of solution ready to use, it contains the antibiotics Sulfaquinoxaline Sodium and Trimethoprim to resist and to get rid of the infectious gram+ve and gram-ve bacteria, and aids in the treatment of coccidiosis that are caused by Eimeria
Indication
– Coccicol is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal (as Bacterial diarrhea, Enteritis) and respiratory tract infections (as CRD, Bronchitis, Bronchopneumonia, Pneumonia, Sinusitis) that are caused by the sensitive bacteria to Sulfaquinoxaline sodium and Trimethoprim (Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Salmonella, Pasteurella, E.coli, Proteus, Klebsiella, Bordetella) in cattle, sheep, goat, rabbits and poultry
– Coccicol aids in the treatment of coccidiosis that are caused by Eimeria in animals
– Coccicol aids in the treatment of Toxoplasma that may cause abortion
Dosage
– Cattle,sheep,goat,rabbit: 1-2 ml\10kg b.w for 3-4 days
– Poultry: 1ml\1 liter of drinking water for 3-4 days
Contraindications
Not to be used in cases of hypersensitivity to Sulfaquinoxaline or Trimethoprim-
– Not to be used for birds that product eggs
– Not to be used in animals that have hepatic or renal insufficiency
– Not to be used in animal that have Blood Dyscrasias
– Not to be used in animals that have Cardiac Arrhythmias
Drug Interaction
– Avoid giving Coccicol with Antacids
– Avoid giving Coccicol with Calcium
Adverse effect
– Long term treatment may cause kidney or hepatic failure

Withdrawal time
– Meat: 6 days
– Egg: contraindicated but the withdrawal period is 4 days if used
– Milk: 60 hours
