Composition

Each 100g of Neocycline contains:

– Neomycin Sulfate                      10g

– Oxytetracycline (as HCL)            10g

 

Product description

Neocycline is the trade name of a water soluble powder containing the broad spectrum antibiotics Neomycin and Oxytetracycline to resist and to get rid of Mycoplasma and the infectious gram+ve and gram-ve bacteria

 

Indications

– Neocycline is indicated for treatment of Mycoplasmosis that effect lung (Pneumonia), air sacs, heart, eyes (Ophthalmitis, Conjunctivitis), joints (Arthritis) and testicles

– Neocycline is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal tract infections (as Enteritis, Bacterial diarrhea) and respiratory tract infections (as CRD, Bronchitis, Bronchopneumonia, Pneumonia, Sinusitis) that are caused by the sensitive bacteria to Neomycine or Oxytetracycline (E.coli, Haemophilus, Klebsiella, Shigella,Yersinia, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Pasteurella, Clostridium, Coxiella burnetii, Chlamydia,Brucella, Avibacterium paragallinarum) in calves, lambs, kids and poultry

– Neocycline is indicated for treatment of Infectious Coryza in poultry

– Neocycline aids in the treatment of Septicemia in immature ruminant

– Neocycline is indicated for prevention of Secondary bacterial infections to viral infections

 

Dosage

Immature ruminant (Calves,Lambs,Kids): 0.5-1 g\10kg b.w for 3-5 days.

– Poultry:  0.5-1 g\1 liter water for 3-5 days

 

Contraindications

Not to be used in cases of hypersensitivity to Neomycin or Oxytetracycline

– Not to be used in animals that have renal or hepatic insufficiency

– Not to be used in mature cattle or mature ruminant

 

Drug Interactions

– Avoid giving Neocycline with solutions that contain Aluminum, Magnesium & Calcium

– Avoid giving Neocycline with Cephalosporins, Furosemide & Vit k

  

Side Effects

– It may cause tooth discoloration

 It may cause kidney failure if it used for long period and at high doses-
