Each 1ml Atropine Dana 0.5% contains 5mg of Atropine Sulfate

Atropine Dana 0.5% is the trade name of a sterile injectable solution, it contains Atropine Sulfate as active ingredient
Indications
– Atropine Dana is used in preanesthesia of animal
– It is an effective antidote for some types of poisoning (e.g organic phosphorus poisoning)
(that may induce salivation, diarrhea, sweating and bronchial secretions)
Dosage
For S\c injection only
– Cattle: 1-10 ml\100kg of b.w
– Sheep: 1ml\25kg b.w
– Horse: 0.1-1 ml\100kg of b.w
Note: Only the Vet who can determine the dosage
Contraindications
– Not to be used in cases of hypersensitivity to Atropine
– Horses are sensitive to Atropine
– Contraindicated in animals that have rapid heart rates
– Contraindicated in animals that have or impaired kidney, heart or liver function.
– Contraindicated in animals that have gastrointestinal obstruction or infection
Side effects
– It may cause dryness of the mouth
– It may cause difficulty in swallowing
– It may cause thirsty.
– It may cause Mydriasis.
– It may cause dryness of the skin.
– It may cause constipation
It may cause tachycardia.-

Withdrawal time
– Meat: 14 days (Antimuscarinic use) 26 day (Antidote use)
– Milk: 3 days (Antimuscarinic use) 6 day (Antidote use)

Keep in cool (under 25 C) & dark place away from sunrays and the reach of children
