Each 1ml Fenedan 5% contains 50mg of Flunixine Meglumine
Product description
Fenedan 5% is the trade name of a sterile injectable solution, it contains Flunixine Meglumine (NASAID) as active ingredient, which is an inhibitor of cyclooxygenase that has anti-pyretic, anti-Inflammatory and analgesic action
Indications
– Used as a supportive treatment of acute and chronic inflammatory condition
– Used as a supportive treatment of treat acute painful conditions
– Used as a supportive treatment of treat high fever
– Can be given with antibiotics as an adjuvant
– Reduces Colic at horses
Dosage
IV or IM only
– Cattle: 2ml\45kg b.w. Repeat if necessary at 24h intervals for up to 3 consecutive days.
– Horse: 1ml\45kg b.w. Treatment may be repeated once or twice if colic recurs. In case of musculo-skeletal disorders, treatment is once daily for up to 5 days according to clinical response
Contraindications
– Not to be used in cases of hypersensitivity to Flunixine Meglumine
Drug Interactions
– May reduce effects of furosemide when used together
Side Effects
– It may cause sweating
– It may cause swelling at the injection site

– Meat: 14 days – Milk: 2 days
