Composition
Each 1ml Danasix 4% contains 40mg of Furosemide
Product description
Danasix4% is the trade name of a sterile injectable solution, it contains Furosemide as a Diuretic.The
product gives rapid onset of diuretic action with increased Sodium and water excretion in urine without
loss of Potassium
Indication
– Is indicated for the treatment of Edema in udder or body parts especially after Parturition
Dosage
– Horse: 10-15 ml once or twice daily (at 6-8 hours intervals) (I.M or I.V)
– Cattle: 10-15 ml once or twice daily (at 12 hour intervals) (I.M or I.V)
Note: Only the Vet who can determine the dosage (Prescription only by a Vet)
Contraindications
– Not to be used in cases of hypersensitivity to Furosemide
– Shouldn’t to be mixed with other drugs
Drug Interactions
– Avoid giving Danasix with Aminoglycosides
Side effects
– Increased intake of drinking water may be observed
– Cardiovascular side effects may be observed in weak and old patients following overdose
