Compositions

Each 1ml Baramic-L contains

– Levamisole HCL                  75mg (7.5%)

– Ivermectin                            10mg (1%)

 

Product description

Baramic-L is the trade name of sterile injectable solution ready to use, it contains the Anthelmintics Levamisole Hcl and Ivermectin as active ingredients to get rid of internal parasites (gastrointestinal worms, lung worms) and external parasites (as mange) in cattle, sheep, goat and camel

 

Indications

Baramic-L kills:

   1- Gastrointestinal round worms

     * Adult round worms: (as Haemonchus, Ostertagia, Trichostrongylus, Cooperia, Oesophagostomum,

                                           Bunostomum)

     * Immature round worms: (as Nematodirus, Strongyloides, Theileria, Toxocara, Parafilaria,Trichuris)

   2- Adult and immature Lung round worms (as Dictyocaulus)

   3- Eye worms, warble larvae (as Hypoderma)

   – Treatment of cases that suffer from scabies, and aids in killing sucking lice

 

Dosage

S\c injection only

– 1ml\50kg b.w and repeat treatment after 21 days with the same dose

 

  Note

   – We advise to give that drug in early morning in cold day\

Contraindications

Not to be used in cases of hypersensitivity to Levamisole and Ivermectin

– Not to be used in animals that produce milk during milking periods

– Not to be used in animals that have renal or hepatic insufficiency

 

  Drug Interactions

   – Avoid giving Baramic-L with Pyrantel, Diethylcarbamazine & Organophosphate drugs. Because they

      may enhance the toxic effects of Levamisole

 

  Side effects

   – It may cause pain and irritation at the injection site

   – High doses may cause diarrhea, anorexia & salivation

   – It may cause coughing (for 15-30 minutes) after treatment, because adult worms are expelled from the bronchi

– Meat: 21 days             – Milk: 28 days
