Compositions

Each 1ml Spectoline contains:

– Spectinomycin (as diHCL):       100mg

– Lincomycin (as HCL):                 50mg

 

Product description

Spectoline is the trade name of a sterile injectable solution, it contains the antibiotics Spectinomycin and Lincomycin to resist and to get rid of Mycoplasma and the infectious gram+ve and gram-ve bacteria

 

Indications

– Spectoline is indicated for treatment of Mycoplasmosis that effect lung (Pneumonia), udder (Mastitis), eyes (Ophthalmitis, Conjunctivitis), joints (Arthritis) and testicles

– Spectoline is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal (as Bacterial diarrhea, Enteritis) and respiratory tract infections (as CRD, Bronchitis, Bronchopneumonia, Pneumonia, Sinusitis) that are caused by the sensitive bacteria to Spectinomycin and Lincomycin (Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Salmonella, E.coli, Mycoplasma, Klebsiella, Shigella) in cattle, sheep, goat, dog, cat and poultry

– Aids in the treatment of some skin infections

 

Dosage

S\c or IM injection only

– Cattle,Calves: 1ml\10kg b.w for 3-5 days. Twice on the 1st day, then one dosage daily

– Sheep,Goat: 1ml\10kg b.w for 3-5 days

– Dogs,Cats: 1ml\5kg b.w twice daily for 2 days

– Poultry: 0.5 ml\2.5 kg b.w  (S\c) for 3 days

 

Contraindications

 Not to be used in cases of hypersensitivity to Spectinomycin or Lincomycin

– Contraindicated in horse, rabbit and hamsters

– Contraindicated in laying hens

 

Drug Interactions

Avoid giving Spectoline with Macrolides

 

Side Effects

– It may cause pain at the injection site

Glass vial of 50ml, 100ml, plastic bottle of 500ml

 

Withdrawal time

– Meat:  21 days

 

Storage

Keep in cool (under 25 C) & dark place away from sunrays and the reach of children
