Daflore 30% is the trade name of a sterile injectable solution, it contains the broad spectrum antibiotic Florfenicol to resist and to get rid of the infectious gram+ve and gram-ve bacteria
Indication
– Daflore is indicated for the treatment of Gastrointestinal infections (as Bacterial diarrhea, Enteritis) and respiratory tract infections (as CRD, Bronchitis, Bronchopneumonia, Pneumonia, Sinusitis) that are caused by the sensitive bacteria to Florfenicol (E.coli ,Pasteurella ,Salmonella ,Streptococcus ,Klebsiella, Proteus, Shigella, Campylobacter) in cattle, sheep and goat
– Daflore is indicated for the treatment of Shipping fever
–Daflore is indicated for the treatment of Foot rot & Interdigital Dermatitis
Dosage
– Cattle: 10ml\150kg b.w (IM injection) or 20ml\150kg b.w (S\C injection)
– Sheep,goat: 1ml\15kg b.w (IM injection) or 2ml\15kg b.w (S\C injection)
Repeat dose after 48 hours
Contraindication
– Not to be used in cases of hypersensitivity to Florfenicol
Drug Interaction
– Avoid giving Daflore with Cephalosporins
Adverse effect
– Inappetite
– Decrease water consumption
– Diarrhea
