Each 1ml Gentamicin Dana 5% contains 50mg of Gentamicin (as Sulphate)

Gentamicin Dana 5% is the trade name of a sterile injectable solution, it contains the antibiotic Gentamicin to resist and to get rid of the infectious gram+ve and gram-ve bacteria
Indications
– Gentamicin Dana 5% is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal (as Bacterial diarrhea, Enteritis) and respiratory tract infections (as CRD, Bronchitis, Bronchopneumonia, Pneumonia, Sinusitis) that are caused by the sensitive bacteria to Gentamicin (Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Salmonella, Pasteurella, E.coli) in cattle, sheep, goat, horses, dogs and cats.
– Gentamicin Dana 5% is indicated for the treatment of Mastitis
– Gentamicin Dana 5% is indicated for treatment of Septicemia
– Gentamicin Dana 5% is indicated in cases of Metritis
Dosage
– Cattle,Sheep,Goat,Horse: 1ml\10kg b.w for 3-5 days (IM or IV)
– Dogs,Cats : 0.5 ml\10kg b.w for 3 days (IM)
Contraindications
– Not to be used in cases of hypersensitivity to Gentamicin
– Not to be used in animals that have renal or cardiac insufficiency
– Not to be used in kittens or puppies
Drug Interactions
– Avoid giving Gentamicin Dana with Penicillins, Tetracyclines & Furosemide
– Avoid giving Gentamicin Dana with another Aminoglycosides
Side Effects
– Renal damage, Nephrotoxicity, muscle weakness and neuromuscular blockade when used at high doses
– It may cause deafness
– It may cause pain at the injection site
– It may cause respiratory paralysis
Warnings
– The uterus should be evacuated in case of metritis before infusion of Gentamicin
– Hypokalemia, Hypocalcemia, Hypomagnesemia, Acidosis and low sodium diets may enhance Nephrotoxicity of Gentamicin

– Meat Poultry: 5 days other animals: 30 days
– Milk: 24 hours
