Compositions
Each 1ml AmoxiGenta contains :
– Amoxicillin T.H 150mg (15%)
– Gentamicin (as sulfate) 20mg (2%)
Product description
AmoxiGenta is the trade name of a sterile injectable solution, it contains the antibiotics Amoxicillin and Gentamicin to resist and to get rid of the infectious gram+ve and gram-ve bacteria
Indications
– AmoxiGenta is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal (as Bacterial diarrhea, Enteritis) and respiratory tract infections (as CRD, Bronchitis, Bronchopneumonia, Pneumonia, Sinusitis) that are caused by the sensitive bacteria to Amoxicillin and Gentamicin (Streptococcus, Staphylococcus, Salmonella, Pasteurella, E.coli, Clostridium, Haemophilus, Helicobacter) in cattle, sheep, goat, horse, dogs and cats
– AmoxiGenta is indicated for the treatment of Mastitis
– AmoxidanGenta is indicated for prevention of Secondary bacterial infections to viral infections
Dosage
IM injection
– Cattle,Sheep,Goat: 1ml\10kg b.w for 3-5 days
– Horses: 0.5ml\10kg b.w for 3 days
– Dogs,Cats: 0.5ml\10kg b.w for 3 days
Contraindications
– Not to be used in cases of hypersensitivity to Amoxicillin or Gentamicin
– Not to be used in Rabbit or Hamsters
– Not to be used in animals that have renal or cardiac insufficiency
– Not to be used in kittens or puppies
Drug Interactions
– Avoid giving AmoxiGenta with Tetracyclines & Furosemide
– Phenylbutazon, Asprin and Indomethasin may increase serum level of Amoxicillin
Side effects
– Occasional local tissue reaction may result during treatment
– Renal damage, Nephrotoxicity, muscle weakness and neuromuscular blockade when used at high doses
– It may cause deafness
– It may cause pain at the injection site
– It may cause respiratory paralysis

– Milk: 4 days
